Leaving On A Jet Plane

I find poetry in a 2012 blog title that is the same as the beginning and ending blog of 2010. Also, a total lack of creativity. But that's what's happening. We are 4 hours away from departure and about to leave for the airport soon, but I wanted to take a moment again to thank you for your prayers. Our on-field mission starts tonight. We're saying goodbye to our families and loved ones and the magnificent seven of us are starting the journey towards becoming our own mission family for the next two weeks. If you haven't already, it's time to get on the knees and become the India 2012 Prayer Team.

Tonight, we ask that you would lift up these items in prayer:
1) Safety in travel
2) NO LOST LUGGAGE!
3) God's favor as we make our way through customs
4) Spiritual conversations with others on our trip
5) A sense of God's Spirit with us in the air, speaking to us and filling us for His work.

We feel your prayers and your support. Thank you for your faithfulness. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to eating pizza and watching The Muppets with the kids while I still can.

See you in India.
